Find out more about the care routines, curriculum, teaching and learning in each of our 3 rooms in the nursery: the Nest, which caters to our youngest children under two; the Den, designed for children aged two to three; and the Woodland Room, our pre-school area for children aged three until they start school.
Suitable for children under the age of 2
The Nest is our base for our under 2 year old children. This room is often a child's first experience of being cared for away from home and we focus on building strong relationships with your child's key person. They will build that vital link between home and nursery and will get to know your child and your family, so we can support and look after your child in the very best way. We know that children learn best when they feel safe and when they are being supported by adults who know them well.
Suitable for children between the ages of 2 and 3
The development stage between two and three years is huge and will see your child’s character developing massively as they realise that they are individuals in their own right. It is a unique time where they will be beginning to develop ‘a mind of their own’, they will want to experiment and do things their way but will need skilful support and guidance.
Suitable for children ages 3+
The development between three and four years continues to be rapid, they are learning more about themselves every day and are beginning to understand how they are different from others. They are finding out what their bodies can do and are beginning to challenge themselves. They have a growing sense of what they like and don’t like and are finding their own friends.
